Life can be a pain

Liam's top four teeth are all attempting to make an appearance. Poor little guy! The bottom two didn't make a difference in his days. But 4!?! You bet they do! I decided to just let him sleep with me the other night because he was waking up so often. That boy does not stay still! He basically kicked me out of bed by 4 am. At least we got him trained to know how to sleep on his own.

3/4 of a year

I can't believe I just scheduled Liam's one year Dr's appointment! It is so amazing how fast the last 9 months have flown by. They change so quickly. He is still packing on the pounds and developing correctly. He was 17 lbs 4 oz and 27 inches tall. He waved at Dr. Ericksen when he walked out the door today! It was so cute! (I shed a little tear) He looked at Matt on Sunday and said "Da-Da". Who knows if he related it to Matt but he will say it when we say it now. His voice is starting to fluctuate and different sounds are coming out. I think he surprises himself sometimes at what comes out of his mouth.
He hates baby food and eats whatever we are eating. His favorites are mac'n cheese, chicken salad sandwiches and cottage cheese. He cries if he doesn't get it fast enough!
He loves to play with things that open and shut and wishes he could make it to the fridge door before we shut it. Matt said to me the other day " Must be frustrating for Liam to always be 2 seconds too late." So true.

We love our little man!

Girls Day *** WARNING PICTURE OVERLOAD***

While family was in town for the wedding last month we had Elle and Lauren come over for a sleep over. With all the boy cousins running around Mike and Rachel's house we decided to give the girls some extra attention. Lauren was so excited and would not stop talking! Elle was a great listener and only rolled her eyes a few times. Matt and I were quite entertained with the things that came out of their mouths! To be 10 and 6 again! They stayed up WAY too late then woke up and went swimming at the neighborhood pool.

Elle is trying to convince Lauren that "She can TOUCH! JUST TRUST ME!!!"We met Matt at a park for lunch and had a pizza picnic. Liam loved it!

I love these pictures!
Look at the grin on his face! Oh the anticipation!

Check out the beehive Lauren found in the tree! HUGE!

New trick

I left Liam in the living room while I ran upstairs to grab something this morning and on my way back down I could hear his hurried crawl across the kitchen floors. As I took the corner of the stairs he started coming up! He had the biggest smile on his face, I didn't have the heart to stop him. He looked like such a big boy! Crawling up the stairs is probably something I shouldn't encourage but he just looked too cute! Where did my baby go?

I hate blogging... but I love reading blogs. So all you other bloggers out there keep it up!

We have had a really busy summer and I have tons to blog about. And I have so many pictures of Liam that I want to share but how many is too many for one post?

Liam had his weight check appointment on Tuesday. I am happy to report that he gained again. He was 16 lbs 11oz. Still a little shy of his 5 month weight but he is happy and healthy. He hit the 8 month mark last week and I keep thinking that life was boring before he came around. I enjoy following him around the house picking up the destruction he leaves behind. His new fascination is the kitchen table and chairs. He likes to go from one chair to the other and hangs on the chair legs like a little monkey. He liked to pull the DVDs off of the rack until he tried to use it to stand and pulled it on top of himself. Now that the tower is gone I left him a nice stack of DVDs to play with. When he does something new or finally reaches that toy or object he was going for he'll turn around and smile at us. I think he wants to make sure we saw what he did. He's already a show off. Matt and I have been playing on a co-ed slow pitch softball team and since we have been playing Liam has started throwing everything. Usually at church during the Sacrament. Why is it that kids are quiet and still just until the Sacrament prayer starts? It's Liam's cue to start talking and throwing his toys. Thankfully he hasn't hit anyone yet. While at home he loves to knock over his blocks and work on his car. Maybe he'll be a mechanic. We think he is working on tooth #3 right now. The boy won't stop drooling and chewing on everything. Thankfully it isn't waking him up at night...yet.

Sad news...my parents are moving to Utah. Booooo...!!! But we did get Nana Sautter to ourselves for a few days in the middle of August. It was glorious going back to bed after feeding Liam in the morning. Thanks for coming mom! Liam is going to miss you! And we are too!

Matt and Brittany!!!

My little brother married his beautiful girlfriend Brittany last Saturday in the Portland Temple. It was awesome to be in the Temple with my family. Matt and Britt make a beautiful couple and it was great to spend time in the temple with them. Although no Sautter family function is complete without a few mishaps. Between Friday and Sunday 15 of us came down with a 24 hour flu. It was terrible! I prayed and prayed that I could make it through the sealing on Saturday without "losing it". And thankfully I made it until the reception. It was awful.
9 nephews! Check out Nolan on the end fixing his hair! 3 beautiful nieces

Baby's first sand 7/27/09

Didn't take long for Liam to test out the sand at Bear Lake! I wish I could say that he didn't like it and he only tried it once.

What we've been up to....

I have lots to blog about but this quick update will have to do for now. We got home on Saturday from a 10 day road trip to Idaho, Montana, and Utah. Liam was a trooper and is happy to be out of the car and back in his own bed. (and so are we)

The little man is changing everyday. He turned 7 months last week! His second tooth arrived late last week and his army crawl is turning into just a crawl. Although he seems to think it is easier to just pull himself around. He is into everything and the next baby thing to buy is a gate for the stairs. I have a feeling he is going to attempt them very soon. The most surprising and exciting thing he has learned to do is to pull himself up to anything he can get a hold off. He first did it a little over a week ago. My Uncle had a coffee table just the right height for him and he pulled himself right up. I couldn't believe it! He looked at me, gave me a smile, then he fell right over. It was pretty exciting. He had a weight check today, gained 8 ounces. The nurse said to watch out cause she thinks he'll be walking in a few months. I am not sure if that is a blessing or a curse...

Here is a cute picture of the little guy after his first breakfast back home... I think we wore him out!
